Brian 'redbeard' Harrington, is a Principal Product Manager at Red Hat. Previous to Red Hat he was the Chief Architect of the company CoreOS & before that served as the president of the non-profit HacDC.

He is developer, hacker, and technical writer in the areas of open-source development & systems administration. He has been featured on Al Jazeera as an expert in the field of computer security, and has been seen & heard on Bloomberg Television and National Public Radio. He previously coordinated the security team for the conference "Shmoocon" and portions of the conference "DEFCON".
