Shane Wang is an engineering manager for networking and storage at Intel's System Software Products. He has participated in or led his team on research and development of open source software projects such as Xen, tboot, Yocto and OpenStack. Since 2015, he has served as an individual director of OpenStack Foundation Board, with years of commitment to community development and building. Currently he is focusing on software-defined networking and software-defined storage technologies, edge computing and NFV-related domains and projects, including OpenStack, Ceph, ONAP, Akraino/StarlingX, OPNFV and so forth. He is also interested in other open source solutions for edge computing such as EdgeX, CORD, OpenEdge, KubeEdge, and ioFog.
